Meet Your Alumni

Casey Solem, MD

CaseyIf you’re interested in emergency medicine, then Casey Solem is your man! Casey graduated from our first class in 2011. During his time at UA COM-P, Casey was elected chair of student government and the class speaker for commencement. He matched into The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson into emergency medicine. During his residency, he earned the following honors: Intubator of the Year, Joseph O’Dwyer Award for Excellence in emergency airway management, Award of Excellence in toxicology research, and chief resident. After residency, Casey worked for the Banner system, and he is now in EM at Scottsdale Healthcare Systems. He is secretary of the executive board for the AZ chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians and is an appointed clinical assistant professor for the Department of Emergency Medicine here at the UA College of Medicine – Phoenix. His free time is spent with his wife Sara and their daughters, Grace and Audrey.

 

Leslie Padrnos, MD

LeslieLeslie is going to Ireland! She will also be presenting at the Histiocyte Society Annual Meeting in Dublin, Ireland on “Bead embolization of spleen as treatment for hematophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis associated with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.” She will also be presenting at Mayo Clinic Clinical and Laboratory Update in Thrombosis and Anticoagulation. Leslie graduated in our first class, 2011. During her time at UA COM-P, she was elected vice-chair of student government. Leslie matched into internal medicine at Mayo. She completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology and became chief fellow also at Mayo. Her interest is in academic hematology and patient experience and survivorship. One of her many accolades is that she was selected to the American Society of Hematology Clinical Research Training Institute. In her free time, Leslie loves to travel with her husband Robby.

Kelly Lynch has been with The University of Arizona College of Medicine for 11 years. She graduated from U of A and is the sponsor for the student club, “Phoenix Clinic,” which promotes school spirit. Kelly loves to dance and do Zumba.
